Spirit Mountain Retreat offers more than twenty regular programs and gatherings to serve our community:

Loving Kindness Meditation
Every Tuesday (in Main House) 5:00 pm – 5:30 pm
Loving Kindness Meditation is a weekly short meditation group that focuses on care, concern, tenderness, loving kindness and friendship that projects a feeling of warmth for oneself and others. The practice is the softening of the mind and heart, an opening to deeper and deeper levels of the feeling of kindness, of pure love. Loving kindness is without any desire to possess another. It is not a sentimental feeling of goodwill, not an obligation, but comes from a selfless place. It does not depend on relationships, on how the other person feels about us. The process is first one of softening, breaking down barriers that we feel inwardly toward ourselves, and then those that we feel toward others.

Self-Realization Fellowship Meditation
Every Tuesday (in Hill House) 6:00 pm – 7:00 pm
The SRF Meditation group are devotees of Paramahansa Yogananda who are members of Self Realization Fellowship. We have a 1 hour weekly meditation in a SRF format. All are welcome, but we do not teach techniques of meditation, we simply meditate as a group.

Day of Mindfulness Third Monday of the month 9:30 am – 3 pm
The Day of Mindfulness was created by the not-for-profit Wisdom Publications as a way to promote mindfulness and raise awareness about its benefits. People around the world celebrated with workshops, meditation groups, or simply by taking a few minutes out of their days to be mindful. Spirit Mountain Retreat has felt this is such a powerful experience that we’ve decided to make it a monthly event by practicing sharing, silence and peace.

Death Café 2nd Tuesdays 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm
A Death Cafe is a scheduled get-together for the purpose of talking about death over food and drink, usually tea and cake and there are meetings worldwide. The goal of a Death Cafe group is to educate and help others become more familiar with the inevitablity of the end of life. At Spirit Mountain Retreat, a dozen or so folks gather monthly in our Hill House.

Al-Anon 12-Step Support Group Every Wednesday (in Hill House) 4:45 pm – 5:45 pm
